Sometimes do you wonder if you’re awesome at all? I know there have been many times when my pain and shame file has been ‘activated’, and I feel anything less than awesome.
I am, however, learning that these times can be a great opportunity to challenge those thoughts right then and there and simply say, ‘no matter what happens, I will create no more pain for myself. I will love myself no matter what, even for all all of the bad decisions I have made.
If you’re into ‘tapping’,(the Emotional Freedom Techniques) the opening line would be:
‘Even if I have created pain for myself, I still know that there is also a huge well of awesomeness inside me, and I love and accept myself.’

Actually, I think that Davina and I have done pretty well so far with this online thingy. Plenty of ways to go but still..
Yes, you two ARE awesome:) Considering how much keeping on keeping on is involved in this online world of business, and the LEARNING involved, it’s just brilliant how you are flourishing! Awesome indeed:) J x
Thank You Julie!
I had a naturopath recommend tapping to me, but I never followed through. Reading your post today is motivating me however – I had a pretty dreadful day. I started off all wrong as a poor night’s sleep, did not accomplish much or enjoy myself, and felt the day slipping away even though I had some really good blocks of time available for work. So I related to what you wrote – I want to feel awesome despite all this! I’m going to check out the tapping.
It’s music to my ears that you are giving tapping a go Judy! Your life will change because of it, I guarantee. Let me know if I can help you get started lovely! BTW, I still have the occasional day like you’ve had today! No such thing as perfection is there! J x
I use EFT each day and currently dot Tapping For Financial Success and Personal fulfilment course with Nick Ortner. Tapping is empowering and I use it for many different physical things too, thank you
What a great thought…YES, I am awesome! Sometimes we let that negative voice tell us otherwise, but we have complete control over our thoughts! I have tried tapping, and will be more consistent…thanks for the nudge!
That is such a great thing to always keep in mind – “I AM awesome!”
Well said, Julie. And the “bad decisions” are what we need in order to learn and grow–no shortcuts there. So it’s better to accept this and deal with it, say, using your techniques or whatever people choose to do, rather than hate yourself for the rest of your life. 🙂
Thanks Julie. Sometimes the degree of awesome that I am feeling varies, but it’s always there. On the scale. I am awesome 🙂
My boyfriends two daughters (11 and 15years) are always telling us how awesome they are. In fact that is the first answer to any why question they are asked. “why do you think that….?” reply: “because I am awesome” They are great fun to watch 🙂
Gorgeous! Typical kids, before society ‘beats it out of them!’
That’s beautiful. Love your stuff, Julie.
A short and sweet comment Susan, but you don’t know what that means to me, it’s these thoughts that keep me going, thanks:) J x
Thanks for the reminder that we are awesome. 🙂 And for what to say while tapping- it does work!
Really interesting to find out what EFT is doing and how it helps you shift your thinking. I am using more of it on myself and am enjoying it! xxx
This is a great reminder, Julie, and as well as reminding me of my awesomeness and addressing my thoughts and EFT, it also reminds me to keep my blogs short, so kind to the reader. Long blogs I sometimes skim, a short one I read twice… good info for me as a blogger!
Big fan of EFT and you and your videos are both AWESOME. And yes I am awesome too 🙂
