This is me with Nick Ortner at the HayHouse event in Sydney 2013. This week’s story is about him.
I thought I’d start to share a story with you each week of where EFT has truly impacted on someone’s life. I speak to other practitioners regularly, as well as reading their blogs, and and we share our stories with each other, no names of clients of course! Just sharing the huge shifts that people make in their life with this marvellous tool.
Here’s one that I actually witnessed at a Hay House event in 2013 inSydney where Nick Ortner (The Tapping Solution) was presenting a session on EFT. He asked for volunteers from the audience, and hands shot up all over the place. Nick got many people to come up on the stage over the 2 hours, but the one that really blew me away was a woman her brought her friend up on stage, explaining that she couldn’t talk, so she’d have to talk for her.
She shared that her friend (a 26 year old) had started suffering from seizures a couple of years ago, and for a second time, after one of her bouts of seizures, she was left mute. The first time it took a month or so before she was able to talk again. This time she was just a week into not being able to speak.
Now, I’ve met Nick, and I know he would NEVER have someone in the audience as a ‘stooge’. I thought to myself, ‘wow, this is a tough gig for Nick’ 🙂 The thing with doing EFT publicly, is that if it ‘fails’, people dismiss it as an a bit of fluff. But the fact is, that it doesn’t fail, there would have just been more delving to do, to get to the core issue, but in a public arena like this, there were time constraints. I was nervous on Nick’s behalf, I have to say!
Anyway, back to the conference, 10 minutes later, after Nick had tapped on the woman, talking quietly during the process, she started talking. Truly. It was amazing. She was thrilled and three thousand people saw it happen.
